Thank you for booking a space on the 2016 Christmas Minis. This page contains all the information that you need to read before you come to the session.
Before the Session
To get the most out of your session and to get the best possible photos please plan to arrive at the studio five minutes early. This will ensure you’re not flustered, your little one is calm and you’re ready to go once your session opens. Sessions are booked back to back on the day so it is not possible to allow any overrun on the time slots allocated.
I unfortunately can not extend the session time if you are late to the session, so please please please make sure you arrive a little early to be sure you get your full allotted time. For longer sessions, with a wider choice of backgrounds & styles, and a greater amount of time for outfit changes and a variety of poses please consider one of my bespoke portrait session.
Please consider what outfit you would like your child to wear in the photos. If in doubt choose white, without any logos or motifs. I will have a selection of knitted nappy covers, tutus and hats available but I cannot guarantee the sizes will be a perfect fit for everyone. You are welcome to have you child posed in just a nappy or in a vest/sleep suit. As the sessions only last 20mins please have a preference for which winter scene you prefer and what outfit you’d like your little one to wear. Lots of outfit changes during the shoot will eat into you photoshoot time.
At the session.
There will be studio lights and props set up. Please help keep your children safe while in the studio. I’ll be making sure your child is as safe as possible during the session and may request that you “spot” your child if s/he is not very steady sitting unaided. When spotting your child you will have a hand behind them to catch them should they fall while I photograph them. I will later removed your hand in post processing on your chosen image.
At the session you will be asked…
Which card design you prefer. Along with your chosen digital image/(s) you will receive a jpeg design using your selected photo so that you can print the cards yourself (or alternatively you can order them through me from a professional printer). If you would like to order printed cards you will get chance to see the digital version before it is sent off to the printers.
After the session
Within 3 days of your photoshoot you will be a sent a link to a proof gallery. This will contain the images from your shoot. They will be unedited and watermarked. You can choose from here which image/(s) you would like as a digital download. The same image will be applied to your Christmas Card design. Your chosen image/(s) will then be edited and you will be sent a download link to download them. Please note that once your images have been downloaded they become non-refundable.
