Salt Dough Ornaments
NOTE: we made up just half the dough in this recipe and it made quite a few ornaments. I’ll add a picture of all we made once they’re finished.
This is the link to the original creator which I found on Pinterest…
I’ll post our pictures here the day before so you can see how they turned out before you get started.
What you’ll need
4 cups Flour
1 cup Salt
1.5 cups Water (maybe a little more)
Christmas Cookie Cutters
Acrylic Paint
Glitter
Clear Glue
Twine/Ribbon/String to hang them
Mod Podge
if you want to seal the ornament before adding the glitter.

Pop your oven on at 200 degrees
Combine the flour, water & salt and kneed for around 10 mins.
If it’s too sticky add more water and if it’s too dry add a bit more flour.
Roll out approximately 0.5cm
Using the cookie cutters cut out your shapes and place on a baking tray.
Use a straw/cocktail stick/pencil to make a whole for the string
Bake for 1-2 hours. If they’re not completely dry bake for longer until they are.
You can reduce the baking time by leaving them for a day to dry, especially good if you have large thick ornaments.
