The Lavender Fields Are Open.
Last weekend we visited the Lavender Fields in Banstead, they are so beautiful and well worth a visit.
It’s such a stunning location for photographs and you will likely see professional photographers there running photoshoots.
So take along your camera (or your camera phone will do) and capture some amazing family photos.
Emilie loved walking up and down the rows of lavender and most of all the tractor which takes visitors on tours around the fields.
There’s a lovely little shop and cafe
Opening Times: June to Mid-September – 7 days per week, 9am to 6 pm
(this may vary at the start or end of season – please monitor their website or Follow Them on Facebook to stay up to date)
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but they must be kept on a lead at all times. Please bring poop bags with you to clean up after your dog!
Parking is free to visitors who have paid the entrance fee. The carpark has limited capacity so, when it is full, cars are directed to the carpark at the old Walcountians Rugby Club who have made their club carpark available for parking. They are approximately 600 meters along Carshalton Road. As they operate independently from Mayfield Lavender they may make a small charge for the use of this facility. 6pm is the last entry time for visitors to our farm and the gate to our farm is locked at 7pm so all cars must have been removed by then to avoid being locked in.
The lavender farm does not permit visitors to pick or cut the lavender so that the lavender remains beautiful for everyone to enjoy. They sell bunches of freshly cut lavender in the shop for those who wish to take a bunch of lavender home.
Mayfield Lavender Farm. 1 Carshalton Road, Banstead, SM7 3JA
Entry costs £1.00 per adult. There is no entrance charge for children under 16. Please note that there is a separate registration fee for professional photographers.
