Lifestyle Session in the Studio
I had this gorgeous young man at my home studio for a lifestyle session and he was such a joy to photograph.
For each and every session I start by asking the parents what they are looking for from the session.
Do they want wall art to treasure?
A box of beautiful prints? Digitals?
Do they want natural images of their baby in a neutral natural environment or a styled studio set up?
This session was no different.
We set up a Pinterest board so that we could both pin ideas and discuss how the session would be planned.
For this session my lovely little model was not quite sitting unaided so I set up a crisp white duvet for him to roll around on and mum brought along his favourite toys and a few outfits that she wanted him to wear. Both family portraits and individual baby portraits were captured in a very natural, relaxed environment.
I always ask for feedback after a session as I like to know whether I have provided a high level of service that I hope all my clients expect from me. Below are some of the comments received from this session.
The session was great fun for all three of us. Adele was well prepared, and efficient, ensuring all the styles we had previously shared on Pinterest were covered.
We had both an in-person meet and a Pinterest page to agree on what was wanted from the shoot. The lighting in the pictures looks great, an area was set up in Adele’s home studio to avoid the background distractions we would have had at home.
It was so relaxed that when our son got tired and hungry part way through after the feed, rather than wake him we got some great shots of him sleeping.
Adele kindly arranged a photo viewing at her house, allowing my mother in law to see the pictures on her short UK visit before they were fully edited, which was great.
Overall we received a professional service that was tailored to our needs
